Louth County Enterprise Board Student Awards
On Tuesday the 2nd March the TY class from Scoil Uí Mhuirí attended the Louth County Enterprise Board Student Awards in the Fairways Hotel Dundalk with their Business teacher Martina Farrell.
The TY class had four mini- companies representing the school:
Each company set up a stall showcasing their enterprise and were interviewed by a team of judges. When the prize winners were announced there was great delight when Coireal Ceilteach was announced as the Overall winner in the senior category.
Coireal Ceilteach was set up by sole trader Cathal Costello. It is a business whereby he sells coral. Cathal will now go forward and represent Louth at the National finals to be held in Croke Park in April. Cathal was thrilled to win this award and is delighted to be representing Louth in an All-Ireland and he hopes to bring some silverware back to Louth this year.
