About Us

Scoil Uí Mhuirí is a vibrant, dynamic Post Primary school situated in the heart of the growing community of Dunleer, Co. Louth. The school has grown and developed since its opening in 1954 when 55 pupils were enrolled. Today there is a student cohort of close to 600 with a teaching staff of 40.

The first major development for the school occurred in 1994 with the building of a new extension to the original school. However, in September 2006 students were finally able to take their seats in the new €5 million extension which basically created a brand new state of the art school environment.

The school proudly serves the areas of Annagassan, Clogherhead, Fieldstown, Walshestown, Tenure, Philipstown, Dromin, Stabannon, Kilsaran, Togher as well as the growing region of Dunleer itself.

Having forged strong ties with the local community and industry, Scoil Uí Mhuirí is today rightfully regarded as a leading light of education in the north east region.
